What’s Your Beat? Project

FREE Screenings for Atrial Fibrillation (AF)

What’s your Beat? is a study being conducted by the School of Medicine at the University of Tasmania.  The study is funded by the Tasmanian Community Fund, with key partners the Stroke Foundation and COTA Tasmania.

The project is aiming to screen and detect Atrial Fibrillation (AF) in Tasmanians aged 65 years and older.

Council is supporting the promotion of this project together with the Tasmanian Health Service (THS) Health Promotion, for people to participate in FREE screenings who are over 65 years and older in the community.

There are a number of opportunities for people to have these FREE screenings at:

Eastlands Shopping Centre – 27 & 28 July, and 2 & 3 August – drop in anytime the project team will be there all day

Clarence Integrated Care Centre 16-22 Bayfield Street Rosny Park – 8 August – drop in anytime between 10.30am until 1.00pm
